Audit Trail
An audit trail is a record showing how a reported figure came to be: what it was built from, what changed it, and who or what touched it along the way. It’s the plain-language term buyers search for; in practice it’s built from several narrower mechanisms.
In Rexfin, the audit trail is assembled from lineage (the path back to source), provenance (the origin of each number), and the trust chain that connects them, not a separate log bolted on afterward. See building real audit trails for AI in finance.
