Enterprise Performance Management (EPM)

Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) is the software category built to plan, budget, forecast, consolidate, and report on how a business is performing. You’ll also see it called CPM (Corporate Performance Management) or BPM (Business Performance Management): different vendors, same underlying discipline.

Most EPM tools were built for a world where finance owned the reporting layer end to end and modeled data on its own terms, often in a cube pre-aggregated for speed.
