Trial Balance
Trial Balance is the complete list of every account in the general ledger and its balance at a given point in time, with total debits equal to total credits. It isn’t a summary or a report built from the ledger: it is the ledger, laid flat for review.
Every close starts here: financial statements are built from the trial balance, not the other way around, which makes it the actual source document a reconciliation ties back to. See how rexfin ties figures to it during full-year reconciliation.
